In this article I will share my experience with the BSCTools Cable Poker Tool in combination with BSCTool Screwdriver SDH-1 handle. That removes the need of keeping a pointed spoke in a BERA CLIC+ Toolbox to open up a cable casing of a mechanical shift or brake outer cable. I will try to compare with the PB Swiss Tools Straight Picktool (that has a slightly different use case).

Wolf Tooth Pack Pliers review
In this article I will share my thoughts about the Wolf Tooth Pack Pliers or in other words Master Link Combo Pliers. For me it is a compact version of the BBB LinkFix BTL-77 pliers that will let you open or lock a Missing Link (KMC), Quick Link (Shimano) or Powerlock (SRAM). Wolf Tooth wouldn’t be Wolf Tooth if they didn’t put some additional innovation into the product.
Hazet 2162M Mini Grease Gun
In this article I will review the Hazet 2162M Mini Grease Gun that I have on my work bench since the early 2000’s. While it started to lubricate my Speedplay Zero Stainless pedals it has grown into an allround product that is helpful in many use case, where precision application is required.
Pedros Chain Checker Plus II
In this article I will show the design and capabilities of the Pedros Chain Checker Plus II which can do more than simply checking the wear of your chain. I will try to compare with the Park Tool CC-4 Chain Checker that lacks these additional capabilities.
Topeak Shuttle Gauge Digital review
In this article I will share my thoughts about the Topeak Shuttle Gauge Digital that I use in combination with the SKS Germany Rennkompressor floor pump and a Tire Pressure Calculator. Getting your tire pressure right is extremely important, and something I certainly got wrong for a long time (to much pressure in my road race tires).
BSCTools Shimano Preload Tool Bit for Hollowtech II Cranks
In this article I will review the BSCTools Shimano Preload Tool Bit for Shimano Hollowtech II cranks. It is basically a 1/4″ bit with pre-loadcap-shape that can be used with the BSCTools SDH-1 screwdriver, or with the Hazet 2262 screwdriver with 1/4″ bitholder or the PB Swiss Tools PB 186.6-100M bitholder screwdriver.
Hazet 863P 1/4″ Reversible ratchet
The Hazet 863P 1/4″ reversible ratchet is in my toolbox for a long time. I have a set of Hazet reversible ratchets with 1/2″, 3/8″ and 1/4″ sockets. Reliable, well engineered and very useful to have in the tool cabinet of a home mechanic. I will briefly compare with the Wera Zyklop 8000 series ratchet.
CEMA Bearing SRC-TT-B019 Bottom Bracket Tool
In this article I will review the CEMA Bearing SRC-TT-B019 Bottom Bracket Tool, that I’ve used to install a CEMA Bearing Interlock BB86-BB92 Bottom Bracket on the Scott Scale 925 mountain bike. I will try to provide my view on the quality, design and my practical experiences.
Park Tool SR-11 Chain Whip
In this article I will have a look at the Park Tool SR-11 Chain Whip that I’m using for over at least 10+ years. It was one of the first home mechanic tools that I’ve purchased together with the Shimano TL-LR10 Cassette Removal tool. And after all these year the Park Tool SR-11 Chain Whip is still going strong, with very limited wear.
Crankbrothers Cleat Tool for Shimano SPD
In this article I will review the Crankbrothers Cleat Tool for Shimano SPD, Time ATAC and Crankbrothers Eggbeater cleats. It is a small tool that might be able to compete with the Ergon TP1 Cleat Tool for Shimano SPD. I will share my experiences and why I think it should be part of your travel toolbox.
