The dimensions of the GAA 18V-48 Battery Adapter are 71 x 98 x 42 mm, which is given by the base of the Bosch 18V batteries. The weight of the battery adapter is 129 grams (on my good old kitchen scales).The locking mechanism on the Bosch 18V battery keeps the adapter in place. On the same side of the battery locking mechanism you see the red on/off switch on the adapter (where a LED signals you that it is turned on).
Remarkable is the metal belt clip with Bosch logo laser etched into the surface (and placed on the top side of the battery adapter). In the movie on the product page you can see how the belt clip will help when keeping your heated vest warm. However the combined weight of GAA 18V-48 and ProCORE 4.0 Ah Battery is 693 grams that you need to put on your belt. This is some extra weight to carry when you need to stay warm.
On the backside of the Bosch Professional GAA 18V-48 Battery Adapter you will see two normal USB ports. According to specification the Battery USB Adapter has a charging current of 2x 2.4 A (at 5V). Between the two USB ports you can see the connector for the Bosch heatable work wear whch has a charging current of 1.2 A at 12V.
Both long sides don’t have much spectacular or functional details. On the one side it is Bosch branding and product type, on the other side you will see the serial number and product details. In summary Bosch Professional GAA 18V-48 Battery USB Adapter is a lightweight accessory for your power tools, that keeps your mobile devices charged or yourself warm when you own heatable workwear.
