In this article I will share my experience with the Dynamic Barkeeper Tubeless Valves Kit that I’ve installed on the Shimano WH-RX880-TL Carbon wheels for the Canyon Grizl CF SL 8 1-by. In the article I will also provide a brief comparison with the Peaty’s x Chris King MK2 Tubeless Valves that I have been using on the Scott Scale 925 wheels.

I really think that the 4 mm allen key slot is a key selling point that provides a lot of value. Simply because you have more leverage with PB Swiss Tools 212LH-10 RB long hex key or Wera 950-9 Hex-Plus L-key with holding function. This is different from just tightening the valve nut by hand (or a small wrench key). I also believe that this allows to give the base a better seal of the valve hole (simply because you can tighten better).
What is striking is the completeness of the set. Like you can read in the description above, two alternative rubber bases are included as well as 2 additional valve cores. So you can even keep using the vales after a couple of tubeless sealant replenishments. I prefer Silca Ultimate Tubeless Sealant and Replenisher or Stan’s Race Day Tubeless Sealant. The purple valve caps is not something I use, but a nice to have. 🙂
Not listed in the product description is the availability in different lengths: 44 mm length, 60 mm length, 80 mm length and 10 mm length. So you can use this with almost any type of rim, from deep section aero wheels to simply wide enduro wheels on you mountain bike. I have both the 44 and 60 mm. versions, where I used the 60 mm version on the Shimano WH-RX880-TL Carbon wheels.
Comparison Peaty’s x Chris King MK2 or Dynamic Barkeeper Tubeless Valves
Given the history with Chris King products and their premium quality in the past, I’ve decided to get me the Peaty’s x Chris King MK2 Tubeless Valves a little while ago. There is also an accessory kit available so you could mix and match anodized colors. The Dynamic Barkeeper Tubeless Valves Kit is available in just 1 color: “black”.
Spare parts are included in the Dynamic Valves Kit, like you can read in the product description above. The Peaty’s x Chris King MK2 Tubeless Valves are a more basic offering.
he 4 mm allen key slot on the Barkeeper Tubeless Valves is a functional differentiator that I want to have on any tubeless valve. This is missing in the current Peaty’s x Chris King MK2 Tubeless Valve design.
Finally the Dynamic Barkeeper Tubeless Valves Kit price point is around € 20,00 – € 23,00 for the 44 and 66 mm. versions. The Peaty’s x Chris King MK2 Tubeless Valves are slightly more expensive and go up to € 34,00 without the additional items in the kit.
Concluding thoughts and wrap-up
The price point of the Dynamic Barkeeper Tubeless Valves Kit is around € 20,00 – € 23,00 for the 44 and 66 mm. versions. For the complete kit with additional rubber bases and additional valve cores, this is an excellent value for money kit. The 4 mm allen key slot is a non-brainer that I want to have on any tubeless valve.
