Morgan Blue Bike Wash

In this article I will share my thoughts about the Morgan Blue Bike Wash in a 1l bottle (1000 ml.) It is a great addition to the Muc-Off Nano Tech Bike Cleaner (or Muc-Off Punk Powder Bike Cleaner).

It is a great deviation from a standard Berner X-in-1 fresh & shine car soap that I used to wash off my bikes.

Morgan Blue Bike Wash – Or car soap?

On the Morgan Blue shop you can read the following Bike Wash product description:

Bike Wash is an active soap especially developed to clean the paintwork of the bike. Makes the bike shine and protects. Can also be used as car soap.

Until now I was using Berner X-in-1 fresh & shine (a Berner Car Soap) for this matter, while I used the Muc-Off Nano Tech Bike Cleaner to release direct and grease from the pain as well. So:

  1. I take a garden hose, and spray off the excessive dirt and mud first
  2. I take the spray bottle of Muc-Off Nano Tech Bike Cleaner and spray it all over my bike and let the formula do the work;
  3. In the mean time I use the Muc-Off X3 Dirty Chain Machine to deep clean, chain and cassette
  4. I prepare a bucket with Morgan Blue Bike Wash (100 ml. on 10 l. of water);
  5. I clean of the bike, with a Eurocol Joint Sponge (or Cyclon Cleaning Glove) from top to bottom;
  6. When finished I spray of the bike with a garden hose as well, and dry the bike with a towel;
  7. Then re-greasing and re-lubing the chain and other appropriate parts;

PROPERTIES AND ADVANTAGES

  • The active components induce a quick and profound cleaning process without leaving traces.
  • Enriched with protective wax-components.

Above you can read the most important advantages of the Morgan Blue Bike Wash. In a weekly cleaning regime of the bikes it is hard to scientifically proof the Morgan Blue Bike Wash is way better than the Berner X-in-1 fresh & shine Car Soap. Both are protective towards paint, so from my point of view can be used for cars and bikes.

Concluding thoughts and wrap-up

Just like the Morgan Blue Extra Dry Lube, I’ve purchased a branded version of the Morgan Blue Bike Wash, which was a couple of euro’s cheaper than the Morgan Blue branded price point of € 11,70 for a 1000 ml. bottle. Interestingly you can also purchase a bigger container of 5 liters, that has a price-point of € 53,50.

  • What bike cleaner are you using ?
  • Would you be willing to pay a little more for an A-brand cleaning product?
