Key Features Megmeister Ultrafris Pro Arm Coolers
If you translate “Ultrafris” from Dutch into English it means “Ultra cool” which reflects the feeling you will get when the intended usage is during warmer periods, either as a UV blocker or in those temperature ranges between to cold to ride without sleeves, but warm enough not to put your winter and autumn arm warmers on that are ticker or even have rain- and wind-breaking features (like the GripGrab Aquarepel Arm warmers).
On the Megmeister product page of the Ultrafris Pro Arm Coolers you can read:
Protect your arms from harmful UV rays while staying cool and dry with the lightweight Ultrafris Arm Sleeves. Quick wicking and breathable, these sleeves act as a second skin, only better, when tackling those long rides in the heat.
- Highly breathable and lightweight
- Sweat and wind-activated cooling
- UPF 50+ UV protection
- Flatlock seams
- Elastic silicone grippers for a stable fit
In practice I’ve used the Megmeister Ultrafris Arm Coolers (not warmers) with cycling and running (in the early evenings during spring). I tend to pack them in the back pockets of the cycling jersey if I think I might need some arm sleeves. Thin and lightweight material, so very compact volume to stash away.
The silicone arm grippers keep the arm coolers in place, and when you look over the surface of the sleeves, it looks like if there are snow crystals woven into the fabric. đ I have skinny arms, so a lot of arm sleeves are to lose, but the Megmeister ones fit perfectly. With the branding on both arms, it is easy to keep the left and right from each other. Overall very comfortable to wear and my default go to emergency arm warmers if I have doubts when leaving home.
Concluding thoughts and wrap-up
The Megmeister Ultrafris Pro Arm Coolers have a price point of ⏠35,00. Available in two sizes (S/M and L/XL) and two colors (Black and White). It is a normal price point for a pair of good quality arm warmers/coolers.
Personally I like the thin lightweight fabric and the very low packing volume. This gives me the option to use the Arm Coolers in a versatile way, in the disciplines road cycling, mountain biking, gravel riding, running and hiking. So for me it is a good investment and probably one of the most used arm sleeves in my collection.
