How I test and review ?

The big question remains how do I test and review products. Personally I don’t think you can review from a press release, so each product published on this blog I’ve tested intensively over longer time-frame in various conditions.

I will post a review on cycling-review.net, when I feel happy to endorse a product after the testing period. Cycling products I first test on my Tacx indoor trainer and after some indoor rides I’ll test them outside during rides with cycling club Tourclub Kerkrade. In addition I try to do some online research and/or use my background as a mechanical engineer (when it comes to design for example).

Although I sometimes highlight some area’s of improvement, I prefer not to post negative reviews on my blog. When I feel that a product doesn’t get through the stage gate “ready for publication”, than I’ll work with the company to provide as much useful and constructive feedback for product improvements.

You have an idea now how the testing and review process on cycling-review.net works, when I publish a review on my personal blog. I hope you enjoy the reviews and feel free to leave a comment or submit a message via the contact form.
