In this article I want to highlight a must have item on every home mechanic’s workbench: Hazet 197-3 Magnetic Cup. When you are working on your bikes, you want to have a safe storage space for bolts, washers and other small parts that could get lost. The Hazet Magnetic Cup can be used in horizontal and vertical position.

There are two features that stand out for me. First the rubberized strong magnet makes sure that the small parts are kept safely and securely in the Hazet blue ABS plastic cup. Second you can easily attach the Hazet 197-3 Cup to for example a tool cabinet.
Second key feature is the shape of the cup. The opening is large enough and shaped in such a way that it allows for easy access in both horizontal position on the top of a workbench as well as in vertical position on the side of a Hazet tool cabinet.
Personally I store the 197-3 Magnetic Cup on the Hazet Assisstent 177 Tool cabinet in my garage.
Concluding thoughts and wrap-up
The price point of the Hazet 197-3 Magnetic Cup is around € 10,00 – € 12,00. It is a fair price point for German Hazet quality. While you can find cheaper magnetic cups, the Hazet 197-3 is perfect because it has a well thought-out shape for easy access and I use it on a workbench (horizontal use) and attach it to a Hazet Tool Cabinet for easy storage (vertical use).
