In this article I will share my experience with the Pedros Green Fizz Active Bike Wash that I first purchased when buying my Canyon Ultimate CF SLX 9.0 back in 2014. I wanted a bike wash that cleaned a dirty bike thoroughly but was protective for the expensive carbon frameset with matt finish.

I really like the biodegradable characteristic of Pedros Green Fizz Active Bike Wash simply because I think we need to take care of our planet as much as possible. Pedros Green Fizz Active Bike Wash has a active component that loosens the dirt from your bike (in concept similar to the Muc-Off Nano Tech Bike Cleaner).
Therefore Pedros Green Fizz perfectly fits into my bike cleaning routine, which looks like these 6 steps:
- I take a garden hose, and spray off the excessive dirt and mud first withthe GEKA Spray Nozzle Light. So the frameset has water on it, and some dirt has been removed already
- I spray the frameset with Pedros Green Fizz Active Bike Wash and let the active component do the heavy lifting.
- I deep clean the chain and cassette with help of the Muc-Off X3 Dirty Chain Machine or the Weldtite Chain Cleaning Machine
- After sufficient time to let the active component in Pedros Green Fizz Active Bike Wash do the work, I prepare a bucket with Morgan Blue Bike Wash and clean the bike from top to down with Eurocol Joint Sponge or Cyclon Cleaning Glove.
- When finished I spray of the bike again with a garden hose and dry the bike with a towel (and or use an air compressor in my garage)
- Then re-greasing and re-lubing the chain and other appropriate parts;
For short bike trips I always take the small 500 ml container with spray head with me (because it is compact). I believe that Muc-Off Nano Tech Bike Cleaner mostly comes in 1000 ml containers. When you go for the more cost-friendly 5 liter options, than you would probably need a Birchmeier Super Star 1.25l with 360° Tech.
Pedros is a well-known and well respected quality brand in the bike industry and the Green Fizz is around for many many years. So you cannot go wrong with this active bike wash option. So it is more a matter of availability (in your country) and price-point.
In practice I cannot scientifically prove that the experience with Pedros Green Fizz is better or worse than the Muc-Off Nano Tech Bike Cleaner. So choose what you prefer and what works.
Concluding thoughts and wrap up
The price point of Pedros Green Fizz Active Bike Wash in a 500 ml bottle with spray head is around € 13,00. You can find a 5 l container as well for the price point of roughly € 35,00 which is a more customer friendly option. It is a cleaner you simply cannot go wrong with, that perfectly fits into my cleaning routine.
